Terms of Service

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These terms ("Terms") govern your use of the LinkC mobile app and related services ("Service") provided by Link Containment AS ("we", "us", or "LinkC").

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms. If you do not accept the Terms, you may not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are between 16 and 18 years old, you confirm that you have parental consent.

Consumer purchases online are mainly regulated by the Contract Act, the Consumer Purchases Act, the Marketing Act, the Right of Withdrawal Act, and the E-commerce Act.

2. Description of the Service

LinkC offers a smart locker storage solution that allows you to:

  • Reserve time-limited storage lockers
  • Unlock lockers via the mobile app
  • Share access with other users
  • Pay for storage based on time

The Service is available at selected locations in Norway.

3. User Account

3.1 Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address and phone number. You are responsible for providing correct information and keeping your account information up to date.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for protecting your login information. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not responsible for losses resulting from unauthorized use.

3.3 One Account per Person

Each user may only have one account. Creating multiple accounts may result in closure of all accounts.

4. Prices and Payment

4.1 Pricing

  • Prices are displayed in the app before you confirm a reservation
  • Prices are stated in Norwegian kroner (NOK) including VAT (25%)
  • Minimum price corresponds to 15 minutes of rental
  • We reserve the right to change prices with one month written notice

4.2 Payment Methods

Payment is made via Stripe. We accept the payment methods shown in the app, including bank cards and Apple Pay/Google Pay. Payment is charged upon confirmation of reservation.

4.3 Refund

Refunds are evaluated individually. Contact support@linkc.io for refund questions. Technical errors that prevent access to a reserved locker will normally entitle you to a full refund.

5. Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. The period runs from the day after the agreement is entered into.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to services that have been fully performed with your express consent. When you confirm a reservation and use the locker, you consent to immediate performance and accept that the right of withdrawal lapses when fully performed.

To withdraw, notify us before the period expires:

We will refund all payments without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice.

6. Usage Rules

Permitted

Temporary storage of legal items such as personal belongings, documents, and packages.

Prohibited

  • Illegal substances or items
  • Weapons or explosives
  • Dangerous or flammable materials
  • Live animals
  • Items that may damage the locker or other items
  • Stolen goods or items you do not have the right to dispose of

Violation may result in immediate account closure and reporting to the police.

7. Reservations

Reservation duration is confirmed when you book. The reservation expires automatically at the end of the period.

If you do not collect items within the time:

  • You will receive reminders via push notifications and SMS
  • A shorter extended pickup period may be given
  • After expiration, we may open the locker and remove items
  • Items are stored for 14 days before disposal

8. Sharing Locker Access

You can share access with other LinkC users; they receive a notification and can unlock via their app.

  • You are responsible for who you share access with.
  • Do not share access with people you do not trust.
  • You remain financially responsible for the reservation.
  • We are not responsible for actions performed by people you have shared access with.

You can revoke shared access at any time in the app.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our liability

  • That the lockers function technically with normal use
  • That payment information is processed securely
  • That we follow applicable legislation

Limitations

  • Loss or damage to items in the lockers beyond gross negligence on our part
  • Indirect losses or consequential damages
  • Force majeure (power outages, natural disasters, etc.)
  • Third party actions

Maximum liability: limited to the value of the relevant reservation, or NOK 5,000, whichever is lower.

10. Your Responsibility

  • That items you store are legal and yours to dispose of
  • That you have sufficient insurance for valuable items
  • That you collect items within the reservation time
  • Any damage you cause to the lockers
  • That you do not share access with unauthorized persons

11. Termination and Account Closure

You can delete your account at any time via the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) or by contacting us. Active reservations must be completed or cancelled first. Already paid amounts are not refunded upon termination.

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, illegal activity, or non-payment. Serious violations may lead to termination without notice. Repeated failed logins may temporarily lock your account.

12. Communication and Notifications

By using the Service, you consent to receive:

  • SMS verification: One-time codes for registration, login, and changing phone number
  • Push notifications: Notifications about reservations, locker access, expiration reminders, and important updates
  • Email: Receipts, important account messages, and changes to terms

You can turn off push notifications in your phone settings, but this may affect your experience of the Service.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or in the app at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

14. Complaints

If there is a defect in the service, notify us within a reasonable time. Complaints must be directed to Link Containment AS by email to support@linkc.io. If you do not fulfill obligations, we may withhold the service or terminate the agreement.

15. Disputes and Conflict Resolution

Governed by Norwegian law. Parties should first attempt amicable resolution. If unresolved:

  • Consumers can complain to the Consumer Council (forbrukerradet.no).
  • Complaints can be sent to the Consumer Authority for assessment (forbrukertilsynet.no).
  • Disputes are decided by Norwegian courts with Oslo District Court as venue.
